Q. What is your signature style or look?
I actively try and avoid being known for a particular style or look as what is most important to me is to draw out each clients personal style so that the finished results look like a representation of their life and story with added designer polish. Each project is therefore as unique as each client. If I was pushed to name something I try to bring to each room or project it would be a feeling of comfortability.
Q. How do I choose the perfect interior white paint colour?
Whites are the hardest colour to get just right! Each home and room has different aspects and light levels which can change and shift paint colours in either cooler or warmer directions than first imagined. The best way to get it right is to seek the help of a professional!
Q. I have recently moved in with my partner and we each have furniture of different styles. What is the best way for us to make everything work together?
The best way to make furniture items from different homes work together in one space is to draw two lists. One is pieces you both love and the second is pieces that you would both be happy replacing. Once we have a list of givens to start with then it is possible to come up with a plan of where in the home to place certain pieces so we know what will be needed to replace the others and bring it all together.
Q. What is the secret to keeping rooms beautiful, calm and clutter free?
Storage, storage and more storage! Homes that have carefully considered rooms and zones to hold everyday clutter and “stuff” have the best chance of retaining order and style.
